Ziggurat mods2/6/2024 ![]() Weapons: 2x Tachyon Lance, 4x Heavy Needler, 6x IR Pulse Laser I stopped using AMBs when phasing through prolonged missile and/or mine spam for too long took too much PPT away, and got IR Pulse Lasers plus IPDAI to intercept the missiles and sometimes fighters. Tri-Tachyon bounties with many Dooms are annoying because of mine spam. Some of the Ordos fleets that do not have well-equipped Radiants are no harder than few human bounties for Ziggurat. Still not very long after time shift eats into that.) (Had over 1000 PPT from all sources except elite Systems Expertise, which I did not take. Optimized Ziggurat is extremely strong, but PPT only goes so far. Mercy rule is clearly a break for gameplay's sake. Pirates, or any other faction player has Vengeful relations with, should not be merciful either if not looking through a gameplay lens. Basically it doesn't make sense that endgame fleets will take pity on the player's fleet and choose to die one on one, instead of dogpiling together. This mercy rule may have its use in the Core Worlds, but it shouldn't really apply to fleets which should be showing no mercy (and for which dodging or otherwise maneuvering the fleets to a favorable setup should be something the player already knows how to do). So the computer basically thinks it's dealing with a fleet that's as strong as 5 Tempests, so it doesn't bother to assist. In this case, the Ziggurat may be 75 DP to you and I, but it's only 40 FP to the computer. So for example, a Tempest is 8 FP and 8 DP, but a Paragon (or a Radiant) is 30 FP and 60 DP. The two tend to be pretty similar for frigates and destroyers, but for cruisers, the FP is roughly 75% of the DP, and for the highest-DP ships, the FP is closer to 50% of the DP. ![]() However, a ship's FP isn't the same as its DP. If a fleet feels that another fleet already has enough FP to take you out, then they won't assist. Fleets decide whether or not to assist based on comparing other fleet's FP ("fleet pts" in ship_data.csv) with yours. With that in mind, Hull Restoration is a liability for Ordos farming because I cannot recover most ships without inviting a double Ordos fight Ziggurat cannot win against if I want to stay a while and farm more soon, and Crew Training gives more max CR than Hull Restoration without Best of the Best. The rest were well capable of joining in but refused to do so.Īll this time, I dodged Ordos clumps because I know two Ordos is probably too hard for lone Ziggurat (one is hard enough if Radiants get vicious weapon loadouts that easily punish minor mistakes from long range like quintuple tachyon lances), but if only one fleet attacks, then that makes farming with lone Ziggurat easier. Seeing that, I rushed to a red system and dove into an Ordos clump, and only one of the fleets out of several attacked my Ziggurat. I tried to take on double named bounties in the same system and discovered both will not attack my fleet at the same time (even though Ziggurat plus minor combat ship to level up an officer was capable of flattening both in two rounds in a single encounter due to PPT running out in round one).
